3D MODELING/BIM
Green Contracting has made a major investment in our BIM capabilities and is continually developing ways to utilize the power of this technology to improve our efficiencies, reduce risk, and provide the owner with an unparalleled final deliverable, thus providing a value realized for years into the future. From proposal presentations, through the coordination and execution of the work, to a repository for Quality documents and a robust as-built, BIM has become our go-to solution. -
FABRICATION
Utilizing the latest technologies, state-of-the-art equipment, and the most talented craftsmen, we dramatically increase productivity while maintaining the highest levels of quality. Maximizing the use of our fabrication facility enables us to reduce field forces and perform a large percentage of our work in a safer, climate-controlled atmosphere. Just-in-time deliveries add value by reducing laydown and storage areas on tight job sites, while faster installations with smaller crews improve overall project schedules. -
RIGGING
A major component of the work we perform includes the handling and setting of major equipment and large bore piping and assemblies. In addition to our skilled personnel, we maintain a compliment of our own specialized and heavy rigging equipment, making it readily available to service our projects. With several Master Riggers in our employ, we have the experience and imagination to develop and execute the most difficult and complex rigging plans, putting massive pieces of equipment in the tightest available spaces. -
ASME CODE WORK
Our experience, capabilities, and expertise in our industry, coupled with our acute attention to detail and quality, has enabled us to qualify for, and maintain, multiple Certificates of Authorization since 1979. These certificates authorize Green to fabricate and install both fired and non-fired ASME Code Pressure Vessels, as well as repair and make alterations to same, in accordance with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. Our stamps also provide for our ability to fabricate, install, and certify high temperature, high pressure, and high energy piping systems meeting the most stringent requirements of the ASME B31 Piping Code. -
DESIGN-BUILD/ASSIST
Green maintains steadfast relationships with the area’s leading MEP and Structural engineering firms, all highly recognized in the large capacity central plant sector, allowing Green to excel in this project delivery method. Partnering with these top firms, our host of specialized trade subcontractors, and coupled with our internal and cumulative expertise, Green can resolve constructability issues, offer value engineering options, and expedite construction starts and durations through full commissioning. Operating in a collaborative, goal oriented environment, Green Contracting adds value to any time and financially sensitive project, consistently delivering desirable results for all stakeholders. -
COMMISSIONING & STARTUP
Our commissioning and start-up team brings years of experience to ensure a smooth transition from installation to startup and the ensuing commissioning process. With an in-depth knowledge of the equipment and systems we install, and through participation during the entire project life cycle, we are able to troubleshoot any issue that may arise prior to the commissioning process to ensure the final steps towards project completion run smoothly. The result gives our customers confidence that the design intent has been met and their plant will operate efficiently, and as anticipated. -
STEEL ERECTION
While the fabrication and installation of piping systems are at the forefront of our self-performed expertise, in many project scenarios, sufficient support structures do not exist, or must be modified to accommodate the new installations. Green Contracting has the skilled tradesmen to erect and install structural members which include the support structures for piping systems, rigging operations, and major equipment such as cooling towers. We maintain qualified structural welding procedures and certified welders to meet the American Welding Society (AWS) codes D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, and D1.9.
Applications
-
CENTRAL UTILITY PLANTS
In addition to providing electric, heat, and comfort cooling to large buildings and even entire campuses, many central plants now also provide utilities to vital data centers, life support systems, research laboratories, and other mission-critical applications. As the demand for these vital utilities continues to increase, so does the shear size and capacity of these plants. It is this demand for uninteruptable service, at an intimidating scale, that makes our level of craftsmanship and dependability so valuable to the owner. -
POWER AND CO-GENERATION, CHP
These systems allow our customers to generate several sources of energy utilizing a single fuel source. Typically, a fuel such as Natural Gas is utilized to fire a generator, which in turn, creates electricity. In addition to this electrical generation, these systems use the “waste” heat created in the combustion process to produce hot water for heating, steam for manufacturing processes, and even chilled water to subsidize their cooling requirements. At the heart of this operation are several pieces of specialized combustion and heat transfer equipment, all of which are interconnected through sophisticated, high energy, piping systems. -
BULK STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION
The storage and transfer of consumable liquid and gas products is a major aspect of the global economy. These products are stored in large capacity tanks and vessels and conveyed for distribution and use through large diameter piping, high volume pumping stations, and complex manifold systems. In addition to these basic elements, we can also incorporate liquefaction, gasification, metering, filtering, and injection systems for accurate blending and manufacturing applications.
