Green Contracting Company, Inc. is an employee-owned business dedicated to achieving excellence in the workplace and full customer satisfaction. Our goal is to provide quality and value to our customers by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations.
Green Contracting Company, Inc. (GCC) is a heavy industrial and mechanical contractor performing work in the greater Baltimore Washington area. Our client base ranges from small private manufacturers to large public corporations and includes several departments of the United States Government (USG). In our early years as a company, boiler installations, replacements, and repairs constituted our project scope’s. However, during our 56 years of growth, Green has broadened its capabilities into all phases of heavy industrial and mechanical construction. This includes the self-performance of structural and miscellaneous steel erection, process, power and utility piping, and all project related heavy rigging. Complementing our capabilities and technical strengths is a financial stability that supports project magnitudes and requirements of all types and insures project performance and fulfillment.

On Staff
Our safety department includes individuals that hold several certifications to ensure our team has the necessary training and resources to complete our projects safely. Certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Safety & Health Technician (OHST), Certified Instructional Trainer (CIP), as well as being instructors in First Aid/CPR/AED, forklift operation, and aerial equipment operation.

Safety is our first priority when working on the jobsite, in the fabrication shop, or at the office. At the end of each day, we want to make sure our employees, and others we conduct work around, go home safely.
Green maintains a steadfast commitment to Health & Safety and has developed a comprehensive Program to position ourselves, our subcontractors, and our clients for success in the safety arena, and the overall conduct of our mutual business.
Our Program addresses safety on four different levels, each consisting of and focusing on key elements to consistently reinforce our safety mission.
It is policy that all Green employees implement, participate, and continually initiate improvements to a company-wide quality initiative. One that through implementation, all work is performed to a documented standard, using proven methods and procedures which provide confidence that the goal of ultimate quality can be achieved.

POLICY STATEMENT
Our Quality Control Program is a documented system for the implementation of quality controls on all projects performed by Green Contracting. It applies to the planning, execution, and documentation of construction-related work completed by Green and its subcontractors. The system consists of a Quality Plan, Quality Control Manual and associated Procedure, and the resulting Quality Documentation. It also provides a means for Quality Assurance through audit and additional inspection.
The primary function of our Quality Control Program is to ensure that all construction meets the requirements of any given contract, customer needs, and all associated Code requirements. It provides a means to achieve Quality results with-in the limits of the project schedule and budget, while performing all activities in the safest possible fashion.

Our Quality Program meets customer requirements found in most contracts, engineering specifications typical to our industry, as well as prescribed codes, standards, and jurisdictional regulations.
Our Quality Manuals and Procedures all follow guidance from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Green maintains a robust welding program which covers all our welding requirements, both in the shop and in field scenarios. Utilizing the four most common processes which include Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick), Green’s pipe welding procedures and operators are certified under the guidance of our Code Program. These procedures, and our welders, are qualified to meet the highest standards including the guidelines of ASME B31.1, B-31.3 and B-31.9 for the joining of Carbon and Stainless Steels and multiple specialty alloys. We also maintain qualified structural welding procedures and certified welders to meet the American Welding Society (AWS) codes D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, and D1.9. Welding operations are carried out under the surveillance of a several certified welding inspectors on staff.
